What's New - November 2025

You'll see many new updates to Farmbrite for this month! We've added a few new features to make it easier to customize your data, work with your animals, enhance your customer's online shop experience, and even added a unique new theme for your Farmbrite experience overall. First, you'll see that the ability to create custom fields has been expanded to include Accounting Transactions and Equipment Usage and Maintenance records. This can help you better track data and details that might be unique for your organization's needs. We've also enhanced the Online Market to better display your product images, regardless of what size they are, and added new default email and document messages to better communicate with your customers.  There are also updates to your livestock records to streamline working with them in a grazing location, as you can now use an animal's location as a filter for groups and reports. There is also a newly added Dark theme to change your Farmbrite visual experience overall. Let's check them out!

New Custom Field Capabilities

You can now add Custom Fields to more types of records! You've always been able to create them for livestock, crops, equipment, harvests, treatments, and measurements, and we have now expanded this useful feature to other aspects of the software. Custom fields are used to create your own data storage fields to track aspects of your business that may be a bit unique to your specific needs. These could include dropdown selections, text boxes, numeric fields, and more.

You can now include them on the following record types:

Go ahead and add your own unique fields to these records type to capture and report on the information that is most important for your requirements. Note: Custom Fields are limited to Performance and Premium subscription levels.

Online Store Enhancements

There are a few updates to the Farmbrite Market section for this month as well.

  • You can now define default messages for your market order emails and documents. These includes text for your Order Confirmation emails, Receipt and Invoice emails, and Receipt and Invoice documents. This can help you better communicate critical information with your customers, and save your time by preloading canned messages.

  • If you sell your products online using Farmbrite's Online Store, the images you associated with your products are now better displayed to enhance your customer's experience. The images have been updated to be more uniform and display in a standard 4:3 aspect ratio. Don't worry about updating your current photos to that though, as the system now better handles different image sizes and displays them appropriately. You'll immediately notice this improvement without any action on your end; just take a look at your store to check out this improvement!

Livestock Updates

We've added a few new features to the Livestock system this month to help you more easily work with animals in a grazing location.

  • Bulk feeding and input records can now be split between the selected animals. Previously the bulk actions required you to supply the amount fed per head, and now you can select to split the amount across all the animals being updated.

  • An animal's current grazing location can now be used as a filter. This means you can create groups based on their location, and then filter reports, dashboards, and custom fields for that location as well.

A New Visual Theme

We're deep into the fall season in the northern hemisphere, with our days getting shorter and nights getting longer as we prepare for winter. To mirror that, we've created a new Dark Mode that updates the theme and colors of the software. Just like setting a Dark Mode theme on your phone or browser, you can now use Farmbrite with a dark background and light text. Just navigate to your User Profile Settings, where you can update the appearance to reflect your personal preference. You can change back and forth as you wish, so celebrate this spooky season with a switch to a darker view, and go back to a bright white background whenever you want! This feature is configured on a per user basis, so you can use Dark Mode even if your colleagues prefer Light.

That's it for this month, let us know if you have any questions about using any of these new features, or ideas for future enhancements.
