Tracking Withdrawal Dates

Tracking the withdrawal dates of treatments applied to your  plants and fields is obviously extremely important! If the medication or product you applied has a withdrawing period where you should not harvest within a given timeframe after application, you'll want to be aware of that as soon as you look at records. You'll be able to supply the withholding period when creating a treatment, and Farmbrite will automatically calculate the withdrawal date, and add it to your calendar. You'll see an automated alert on the record as well, and can easily run reports to find fields and crops that have upcoming withdrawal dates as well.

Adding Treatments and Withholding Periods

When you add a treatment to a planting or grow location, you can optionally supply a number of Days Until Withdrawal Date. You might find this on the chemical packet details, or other information sheets about the product are applying. Once you supply that number of days, Farmbrite will automatically calculate the withdrawal date for you. This is then displayed in a few places.

  • The treatment record on the grow location or planting treatment tab will be labeled with an alert icon, and the withdrawal date will be displayed.

  • An alert banner will be presented at the top of the planting or grow location page as well, and also shown on the main details page for that planting or location too.

  • The grow location list or crop type plantings page will include a label for Withholding, so you'll know this at a glance when you look at your crop and field records.

  • An event for the end of the withholding period will be automatically added to your schedule.

We have highlighted the process and various places this shows in the image below.

Reporting on Withholding Periods

You can also run an Upcoming Withdrawals report to see future withdrawal dates for your crops. Just navigate to reports and then choose the Plantings tab, and you'll find Upcoming Withdrawals for this. This report includes the withdrawal date and other relevant information about the treatment. You can also run the Treatments report to find these as well.
