Check out what's new in Farmbrite this month! We've made many smaller but valuable enhancements to different areas of the software throughout January and they are available for you right now! These are the direct result of your survey feedback and ideas that we heard last month, so thank you so much for taking the time to complete it to let us know what's important for you.
You'll first notice improvements to livestock breeding and grazing, including new options for calendar reminders, simplified genealogy filtering, and an easier way to view your grazing location acreage. There is also an update to your market orders to prepopulate your customer's delivery address, and another time saving feature to view your grow location beds. We have also expanded the filters found on the accounting dashboard, and added a new inventory report to better display your individual lot quantities on your items. Let's take a look through them!
Livestock Updates
We've made updates to three livestock features this month.
- You'll now have the option to add birthing reminder events when creating breeding records. This is available whether you are using methods like artificial insemination and embryo transfer, or recording the breeding when moving animals to different grazing locations.
- Those same breeding records have been updated to more easily select sires and dams for breeding. While age filters are still in place by default, you will now see any animal marked as breeding stock available to be selected. This is true when connecting genealogy as well, and can help account for animals who matured more quickly than expected.
- Animal grazing reports and dashboards now include the size of the field. This gives you quick access to view the acreage and decide what fields might be best for your herds. You'll now see this on the Grazing Summary report, and on individual animal and livestock group grazing tabs.
Additional Updates
- When creating Market Orders, you'll now have a selection to use the customer's address as the delivery address. This will help you save time and avoid repetitive data entry while ensuring your orders go to the right location!
- You can now expand or collapse all of your beds in a grow location at once. Another time saver, helping you more easily view what's planted and what areas you have free to get the most out of your growing space.
- Custom fields are now available as accounting transactions filters. If you have created unique attributes to track on your transactions, you can now filter your accounting dashboard to return results based on them.
- A new Inventory Lot Summary Report is now available. This is similar to the standard Inventory Summary report, but grouped and totaled by your item lots. This can help you see what's left from each lot so you'll know what to use or sell first.
That takes us through the updates for this month. Next month we're looking at security enhancements, more new reports, updated mapping features, and warehouse and inventory filtering! See you next month with more updates; reach out to us and let us know your ideas for improvements here too!
