Completing Plantings

If you are planning on planting crops in succession, you're likely cleaning out your fields and beds between plantings. After you complete your first harvest you might take down extra stalks, remove unwanted branches, and dig out roots to prepare for your next plants to be put in the ground.

Similarly, you may want to clean up your Farmbrite plantings page to remove plantings that you are finished with. You can do this by marking the planting as "complete". This is a great way to mark or indicate that you are finished with the planting and that it is no longer in the ground and actively growing.

You'll find the complete option in the actions menu of any planting in Farmbrite. Just click the 3 dots and choose "Mark Complete". As you see in the short video and images below; after the planting is marked complete, the planting will be shown in the History tab on the crop type. You will find the history tab on the left hand side navigation.

This is slightly different when viewing your plantings directly from a Grow Location. In the example below, you'll see that completed plantings are removed from the Currently Planted tab but are still included in the Planting Year and the Harvested tabs respectively.

You will still see them in the History section as well.

One last thing to be aware of; if you did not harvest the crop, it won't be shown on the harvested tab. You might find a situation where you lost a crop to pests, weather damage, or disease. In this case, you will find the completed planting in the history and year tab.
