Multi-Factor Authentication

Have you ever tried to log into your online banking website and been prompted to enter a code that was texted to emailed to you? That extra layer of verification can help keep your account secure, and you can enable the same validation in Farmbrite as well. This feature is enabled on an individual user level, so you as an administrator with access to financial data might want it, but perhaps it would be unneeded for your laborers or farmhands. The choice is up to you; this feature is completely optional and you can enable or disable it whenever you need.

To get started with this, navigate to Your Profile by clicking your account icon in the upper right.  From there, you'll see an option to Enable Multi-Factor Authentication. Check the box and save, and you're all set! Be aware that if you do not see this box, you'll need to verify your email address first. This sends and confirmation email to the address to be sure it is valid before enabling this extra layer of verification.

The next time you log in to Farmbrite you'll be prompted to enter your one-time passcode. This is sent to the verified email email address. Just access your inbox, get the code, and you'll then get into Farmbrite. The code is valid for 10 minutes, so if you miss it, you'll need to log in again and get a new one.

If you no longer want this, you can always reverse the process and uncheck the box to disable it. You will no longer be prompted to enter the one-time password after that.
