Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful 2025, and wish you the best in 2026! We wrapped up the past year with a few enhancements to your resources, including adding your warehouses to your farm map, and geolocating your equipment so you know exactly where it is at all times. You'll also see an improvement to inventory tracking when making recipes, enhancing your traceability to know what lots and locations your ingredients came from. There are also some additional enhancements to the livestock yields and measurements imports we added last month, and updates to tracking your annual financial revenue on the Profit and Loss Statement. Let's check them out!
Mapping Your Warehouses
You can now connect your warehouses to your Farm Map. Just navigate to the map, and you'll see a new option for mapping Storage Locations. These cane be optionally connected to your warehouses if you'd like, and provides a quick link to the warehouse record. You can then easily navigate directly to the warehouse to see what you have stored there and it's storage history. Also note that you can map and view the warehouse location directly from the warehouse record as well.
Geolocating Your Equipment
Your equipment records now have geographic location capabilities. This is slightly different than using the Farm Map like for the warehouse above. As your equipment likely moves around your farm, you can now geolocate it based on your mobile device's location, and update the equipment location when creating an equipment usage record. This can help you and your staff know exactly where a vehicle or tool is when they need it.
Recipe Traceability Improvements
Inventory Recipes now track additional details about the ingredients used in them. Recipes are used to mix multiple ingredients together to create a finished product, and they now record the starting location and lot numbers for the ingredients used in a recipe. This can assist in tracking traceability requirements, so you'll know exactly what warehouse and lot number the ingredients came from in case you run into any questions about it's content.
Reporting Year Updates
The Transaction Reporting year field is now more prominently used in the Dashboard and Financial Reporting. If you are allocating transactions to a different budgetary year than when they took place, you'll now see the year more accurately reflected in your Profit and Loss Statement. These transactions are now shown appropriately in your annual Profit and Loss Statements when run for the full calendar year starting January 1st.
Livestock Bulk Import Updates
Last month's bulk import features for Livestock Measurements and Yields have been enhanced to also allow for updates via this method. Now you can export a custom report of all of your measurements or yields and make updates to them via spreadsheets. This can be helpful if you needed to change dates or units without accessing all of your individual records.
That takes us through this month, let us know if you have any question we can assist with, or ideas for other future improvements!
