Not all crops are harvested in the same way! For example, you might harvest broccoli in pounds, hay in bales, corn in bushels, or herbs in bunches. If you have a varied farm with many different crops, you'll be able to define exactly how you count your harvests for each one of them. You can configure this when creating the crop type, or update it later if you need. Either way, just navigate to the Crop Type record details and look for the Harvest Unit field in the Harvest Details section.
From there, you can pick what unit you'd like to measure these harvests in. Make your selection and be sure to save! The available options are outlined below.

How does this affect my harvests?
When you create the harvest record, the amount harvested will be counted in this unit. This is used when calculating the averages amount harvested across the life of the crop as well.
With that said, while you can update the unit prior to recording a harvest, if you change it later it may skew your averages. If you started harvesting in pounds but then moved to tons (good for you, congrats!) you might create a new crop type to start tracking in tons and keep the units consistent across harvests. If the inventory units do not match between your harvests, you'll see a red exclamation mark alerting you to this on the harvests page for that crop type.
Be aware that you can also change units when moving this item in inventory or using a recipe. For example, you might record your harvest for microgreens in pounds, but then move it to 8oz containers to sell as a finished product. You don't necessarily need to record the harvest in ounces if it is easier to record in bulk and then split it up into smaller containers later.
