Thanks for checking out what's new in Farmbrite for this month! First, you'll see an update to the accounting system to help you better track the progress of your income and expense transactions by assigning them statuses. After that, we'll see updates to the market, including a new report for specific product purchases and more informed item picking. There are also updates to your task notification emails, and a helpful new display when adding a planting. Let's check them out!
Transaction Statuses
You can now set a status on any accounting transaction. These statuses include Pending, Review, Excluded, Complete, Void, and Closed. They can be used on filters on your accounting ledger or any custom report, and help you denote where the transaction is in your unique accounting process.
Market Updates
There are two new features in the market to help you better pick orders and report on which customers orders what items.
- When you pick an order, you'll now see the Internal Memo and Customer Message on the picking screen and your pick list printout. If you make notes in the memo or need to reference the customer's special request, you can now see these while selecting items for your pick list.
- We've added a new Product Orders by Customer report, which displays all of the individual items purchased within a date range grouped by customer. We've previously had a order based report for this, but this update creates that is item based, which can help you determine product popularity and seasonality.
Task Updates
There are also multiple updates this month to the task list and your task assignment/reminder emails.
- You can now disable the task assignment emails. If you're busy around the farm and get too many emails about the work assigned to you, you can now disable them so you won't clutter your inbox with extra emails. We have expanded and reformatted the task reminder email to include additional events and tasks as well.
- The Task List is now automatically color coded. Tasks in To Do status will be shown as gray, and any tasks currently in progress will be shown in blue. Completed tasks are displayed in green.
Other Updates
- Crop planting details are now shown when creating a planting. The details - like the spacing, transplant age, days to emerge, expected yields, etc. - are now easily accessible on the Create Planting window. That means you don't have to cancel the planting and go back to the main details to reference them. This small change can save you a lot of time!
