What's New - August 2026

Thanks for checking out this article to learn about what's new in Farmbrite this month. We have over a dozen new features and enhancements to highlight, including changes to livestock, crops, inventory, tasks, and the market. These include a new ability to associate your livestock and crop harvests with multiple inventory items, and then edit your inventory logs if you accidentally make a mistake. We have also added a way for your customers to purchase higher quantities of your market items more easily, helping them be more aware of the bulk discounts you might offer.  You'll also see improvements to livestock group treatments, along with a simplified way to plant row crops based on acreage. All of these changes are a result of your feedback and ideas to make the system easier and improve your experience, and they are available for you to use right now.

Inventory Improvements

  • You can now split a single harvest into multiple inventory items and locations. You might use this to put the same harvest into multiple bins, or divide it among different cuts or package sizes stored in your inventory.

  • Inventory item histories can now be edited and deleted, helping you clean up any mistakes you made when adding and removing inventory. You'll still need to update the amounts to fix your mistake, but administrative users can now edit or delete the history records to accurately reflect what happened despite the mistaken entry.

  • It's now easier to see what's stored in a bin, as you can expand the bin to view its contents. This is now more user friendly and can help your more easily see what's in that specific location.

Market Enhancements

  • Your online store customers can now add multiple quantity of an item to their cart at once, making it easier for them to take advantage of any volume discounts you might have set up. They'll do this from the items page now before they addit to the cart; previously they had to update this afterwards in the cart.

  • Additional instructions can now be appended to order confirmation emails based on what product the customer purchased, letting you provide further details and next steps if they purchase something that needs more explanation.

  • Conversely, any message and additional instructions your customer provides to you in their order will now automatically appear on your printed and email invoice documents. That can help you make sure you never miss a critical communication about size, color, delivery preference, or other important factors in the order.

Livestock Updates

  • Livestock Group Treatment follow up tasks can now be assigned to the group overall, rather than individual animals. This eliminates the extra tasks that might be accomplished at the group level anyway.

  • Livestock Tag data now displays which ear the tag is attached to in more places. You'll now see this on the main dashboard without having to access the animal record.

  • Age is now displayed in weeks when the animal is between 4 and 12 weeks old. Rather than months and days, you'll easily see the age in weeks, helping you with vaccine and treatment protocols.

Crop Updates

  • You can now split a row crop field by acreage, allowing you to put multiple different crop types in the same field without adjusting the quantity planted. If you have a 10 acre plot and need to plant 5 as one crop, you no longer need to do the plant spacing math to accomplish this.

Other Improvements and Enhancements

  • Timesheet tasks can now be saved without hours recorded. This can help you plan for future tasks that have not been completed yet, setting up your employee timesheets for future plans, not just previously completed work.

  • Tasks that are complete but past their due date are no longer highlighted as red on the task board. This was causing some confusion, so they will no longer be shown in red when they have already been completed.

  • We have improved last months Receipt Scanning feature to show a warning if the currency identified in the scan is different than the currency setting in your Farmbrite account. This previously showed and error and prevented the scanned data from being used.
