What's New - August 2025

This month you'll find some additional updates to the recently released Teams feature, including the ability to disable your teams to archive them, and view them on reports. Speaking of reports, there are also two new reports for your livestock location history which help you see where you animals have grazed and been housed in the past. There is also a change to the online store which can help you promote products that are not currently in stock, and a a new menu option to help give you more working space in the software.

If you saw our What's New campaign last month, you'll know that you can now create Teams to connect your users and assign them to tasks and events. We appreciate the feedback and ideas we received after releasing this, and you'll find two new updates to this feature this month.

  • You can now disable teams to archive them. This helps you keep records of teams you have created in the past, while removing them from menus and filters for future use. This would be a great way to retain your "Summer 2025" crew history when you make a new team of new workers in the future.
  • Team  and collaborator information has been added to standard and custom reports. You can now see the team a task or event was assigned to on reports, with a separate column collaborators too. You can add these details to custom reports, and they're included in the Tasks Due, Task Complete, and Schedule reports by default.

Next, you'll find two new Livestock reports that include more details about grazing and location history. Both of these were created to better account for animal locations when they are not in a  grazing field, as both include buildings and animal enclosures in their results. You can now run the Current Animal Location report to see where any of your animals are located, and the Location History report to see a summary of all moves into and out of your buildings, enclosures, and grazing fields.

You'll also have a new way to display back ordered items in your online market. Market products that are designated with the Back Ordered status now show in your online market. This can help your customers know about items that you don't currently have in stock, but will be getting more of in the future. They can't be ordered, but will be displayed so your customers can get the details about the item even when you don't have any to sell.

The main navigational menu can now be collapsed to provide additional working space. If you are working with a record that has a secondary menu like an animal, planting, or piece of equipment, you can collapse the main menu to give yourself a bit more room to work with the record. Farmbrite will remember that you collapsed the menu, and maintain that until you log out (or your session expires).

That's a wrap for this month, let us know if you have any questions about the these features, or anything else!
