Fields

Fields in Farmbrite can be anywhere that you are growing plants and want to keep track of the productivity of that area. For example, a field can represent a traditional 40 acre field of row crops, or an orchard of trees or berries, or a market garden plot, or a raised bed, or a greenhouse.

You can add a new field by clicking on the green “Add New Field or Bed” button. You’ll be prompted to provide details about your field.

Finding your Field

You can easily search for any of your field using the search bar located on the top right of the field list. The search bar will search for fields based on their Title (Name) or Status. Simply type in your search criteria and hit enter to search.

Grid of Fields

You will see all of your fields listed in a grid on the main Fields page. Each field shows the name of the field, the year the field was in use, the field status, size, and actions.

You can sort the items in the grid by clicking on any of the column headers. An arrow next to the column header indicates that column is being sorted and in what direction the data is ordered.

Click on the name of the field to view or edit it. This will take you to the field details

Click on the Red “X” in the right actions column to delete the field from Farmbrite. Note Deleted records cannot be recovered.

Click on the copy icon in the right actions column to copy the field and all it’s settings and crops. This is helpful when you are replanting a similar mix of crops into the same field in a subsequent year.

If you have a lot of fields, you may need to page through the list to find the one your looking for. Use the paging buttons at the bottom right of the gird to move between pages of fields.
